Mihai Daraban, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), stated that Romania is interested in collaborating with Chinese partners in the development of energy storage technologies, in the context of high energy prices in Europe.

During a visit to Beijing, Daraban met with representatives of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) to discuss trade relations between the two countries. He emphasized Romania's strategic advantages, such as the Port of Constanta, which provides easy access to the European single market. He also mentioned that high energy prices create opportunities for innovation in the field.

In discussions with the president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Li Xiangying, the desire to expand cooperation in areas such as robotics, electric vehicles, and green energy was highlighted.

The visit is part of a broader economic mission aimed at strengthening trade relations and attracting Chinese investments in Romania.
