Romania is preparing to become a strategic partner of India in Central and Eastern Europe, having the necessary infrastructure and competencies. Minister Radu Miruță emphasized the potential for collaboration during the 19th session of the Romania-India intergovernmental mixed commission for economic cooperation. The Indian delegation, led by Minister Jitin Prasada, included 23 businesspeople from various sectors such as energy, IT, defense, and agriculture, and signed a protocol to strengthen economic cooperation. The forum in Brașov marked India's commitment to Central Europe, with matchmaking sessions for partnerships between Romanian and Indian companies. Investment opportunities in infrastructure and green energy were also discussed. Trade relations between Romania and India have increased, with India becoming an important partner, although trade exchanges have recently decreased. Experts suggest that India has the potential to become a new leader in global production, similar to China.
