Irineu Darău, the Minister of Economy, emphasized the importance of localizing production in the country within the SAFE Program, mentioning that Romania will try to produce as many components as possible on national territory. By May, Romania must finalize the contracts related to the projects approved by the European Commission, which requires a detailed analysis of the defense industry. The minister acknowledged the difficulties encountered but assured that everything possible will be done to support local production and technology transfer.

Additionally, Darău highlighted the need to attract serious foreign investors to collaborate with Romanian suppliers to develop a stronger national defense industry. He also addressed past issues within the industry, mentioning that certain individuals negatively affected the national defense system. In conclusion, the minister expressed his optimism regarding foreign investors' interest in Romania and the SAFE Program, suggesting that international partnerships could help revitalize state-owned companies.
