The ROBOR index fell on Thursday to 6.65% per annum from 6.67% in the previous session, according to NBR data. The index is important because it serves as a benchmark for the cost of consumer loans in lei with variable interest rates. Although ROBOR stood at 5.92% at the start of the year, the downward trend suggests a possible easing of borrowing costs.
