The National Bank of Romania (BNR) reported a decrease in the three-month ROBOR index, which reached 6.21% per year, compared to 6.22% in the previous meeting. At the beginning of the year, this index was 5.92% per year. Additionally, the six-month ROBOR dropped to 6.34% from 6.36%, and the 12-month ROBOR decreased to 6.55%, compared to 6.57%. Regarding the reference index for consumer loans (IRCC), it was set at 6.06% per year, calculated as the average of daily interest rates from the second quarter of 2025, marking the highest level recorded so far. These changes influence the cost of consumer and mortgage loans in lei with variable interest rates.
