According to Eurostat, renewable energy sources accounted for 41.2% of EU electricity consumption in 2022. Romania has a large wind potential, confirmed by Transelectrica, which would allow the generation of twice as much electricity as current consumption. Energy minister Sebastian Burduja believes Romania has all the resources needed to set an example in the energy revolution.
