The MEP Rareș Bogdan states that the avoidance of the term "economic crisis" by the prime minister does not change the reality of the technical recession, caused by misguided domestic policies, not by external shocks. He emphasizes that Romania would have had a favorable international context, but tax increases and budget cuts have negatively affected the population and investors. Bogdan compares the current situation to the austerity measures of 2010, warning that repeating these mistakes will have serious consequences.

He criticizes the deficit reduction strategy based on tax increases, advocating for liberal measures to support entrepreneurs. He also warns about the collapse of the real estate market, with developers' debts reaching 35 billion lei. Bogdan highlights the need to attract large investors and to harness Romania's energy potential, criticizing the hostile attitude towards the United States. In the end, he compares an economic policy without vision to a "patient abandoned on the operating table," calling for a return to liberal governance to allow the economy to breathe.
