Premier Energy has announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in a battery energy storage system (BESS) project with a power of 200 MW and a capacity of 400 MWh, located near Iași, Romania. The project, with an estimated cost of 75 million euros, will be built in 2026, aiming to capitalize on the volatility of energy market prices. Once operational, the facility will become one of the largest in Southeast Europe and will support the group's energy production and supply activities. In the first half of 2025, Premier Energy reported a net profit of 61.8 million euros, a significant increase compared to the same period in 2024, due to revenues from electricity supply and state subsidies. Renewable energy production increased to 231 GWh, and revenues from this segment reached 90 million euros. The company has strengthened its position in the energy supply market, serving over 1.3 million customers.
