Petrom has increased fuel prices again, by 3 bani per liter, reaching 7.90-7.95 lei for gasoline and 8.19-8.23 lei for diesel.

Petrom, the leader of the fuel market in Romania, has made a new price increase, applying the sixth price hike since February 2026, by 3 bani per liter. Thus, the price of a liter of standard gasoline in the Capital ranges between 7.90 lei and 7.95 lei, while a liter of standard diesel costs between 8.19 lei and 8.23 lei.

At the Petrom Vitan station, the displayed prices are 7.93 lei for gasoline and 8.22 lei for diesel. This increase comes after a series of 7 price hikes from the previous month, caused by the increase in excise duties from January 1, which led to a total increase of 69 bani for gasoline and 76 bani for diesel.

Compared to the beginning of the year, prices have increased significantly, reflecting the impact of government decisions on excise duties.
