On July 8, 2025, Petrom made the first fuel price hike of the month, increasing the price of standard diesel by 4 bani per liter, while the price of gasoline remained constant. In Bucharest, standard gasoline costs between 7.02 and 7.08 lei per liter and diesel between 7.35 and 7.40 lei. The change comes after a series of previous price hikes and cuts, while oil prices have fallen recently amid rising OPEC+ production.
