The Ministry of Finance made a new issue of government bonds, borrowing 443.2 million lei from banks.

The benchmark government bond issue had a residual maturity of 39 months and an average yield of 6.21% per annum. The nominal amount of the issue was MDL 500 million and banks fully subscribed the offer. This loan is part of the budget deficit financing strategy.
