Mega Image and Profi Rom Food, both part of the Ahold Delhaize Group, will merge into a single legal entity starting March 31, 2026. This merger aims to create a stronger and more efficient organization while maintaining local brands and separate customer operations. The management of both brands emphasizes that this initiative will benefit customers, employees, and local communities by improving operational efficiency and supporting local suppliers.


Mega Image and Profi, which together operate 2,700 stores and employ 40,000 people, are committed to developing strong partnerships with local producers and remaining connected to the communities they serve. Leaders of both brands have stated that individuality and core values will remain intact, and the unification will generate a greater impact and increased value for customers.
