Praktiker Hellas, Greece’s largest DIY retailer, reported declining sales and higher losses in 2025, according to data analyzed by Profit.ro. The results come approximately one year after the company was acquired by the Pavăl brothers, the owners of Dedeman, and amid significant investments in its local operations.
During the first year after the acquisition, the new owners focused on purchasing the stores previously operated in leased premises. The transactions were supported through capital injections and bond sales, increasing the company’s financial burden.
At the same time, Praktiker Hellas recently began rebranding its 17 stores in Greece. The change in commercial identity is part of the plan to integrate and develop the network following its acquisition by the owners of Dedeman.
However, the decline in sales and widening losses mark a difficult start to the company’s new phase. Based on the available information, the 2025 data do not provide details on the exact causes of the financial developments or the timeline for completing the rebranding.
