KMG International (Rompetrol) announces the development of a national network of charging stations for electric vehicles, in a project estimated at 8.2 million euros, co-financed with almost 2 million euros from European funds through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program. The project, implemented through Rompetrol Financial Group, Rompetrol Downstream, and KMG Rompetrol Development, will include ultra-fast stations in 26 locations across Romania, with a completion deadline of June 2025 - December 2027. Alua Amirova, Director of Strategy and Sustainable Development, emphasizes the importance of expanding the charging network for heavy-duty vehicles as part of an integrated strategy for sustainable mobility. Zhanibek Nugertayev, General Director of Rompetrol Downstream, states that this project will diversify the company's activities and strengthen its position in the downstream sector, in the context of developments in mobility. KMG International is a major player in the energy industry in Romania, operating an extensive network of marketing points and refineries.
