The leader of UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, stated that it is essential for the Romanian state to provide a one-off aid to pensioners with incomes below 3,000 lei, emphasizing that the amount of 1,000 lei can be found annually. He mentioned that he proposed, together with Sorin Grindeanu, such a payment for 2026, similar to that of 2025. Hunor emphasized that it is not a large amount, but it is necessary for supporting pensioners.

The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, discussed the solidarity package proposed by PSD, which would have a budgetary impact of nearly three billion lei, with funding possible through an increase in the minimum wage and additional VAT collection. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan stated that any budget proposal is welcome, as long as it includes a clear source of funding.
