The Industrial Accelerator Act (IAA) introduces clear standards for carbon emissions and 'made in EU' requirements in public procurement, targeting sectors such as aluminum, cement, and steel.

The goal is to increase the share of the manufacturing industry to 20% of the EU's GDP by 2035, protecting jobs in the automotive sector and creating approximately 150,000 jobs in other areas. The IAA supports the adoption of clean technologies and the development of enterprises, aiming to stimulate production and create quality jobs.

The Act introduces specific requirements for public procurement, promoting low-carbon and 'made in EU' products, and simplifies the authorization procedures for industrial projects. Additionally, the IAA establishes conditions for foreign direct investments in strategic sectors, ensuring that they generate added value for the EU.

This legislation is essential for strengthening the competitiveness and economic security of Europe, in the context of increasing global competition.
