Hidroelectrica has signed a contract for the modernization of the high-power energy pumping stations Petrimanu, Jidoaia, and Lotru, with a final value of 97.88 million euros, awarded to the company Electromontaj S.A. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and the balancing capacity of the National Energy System, extending the lifespan of the installations by at least 30 years. The modernization will integrate modern automation and digital control technologies, contributing to a rapid response in situations of energy imbalance. The CEO of Hidroelectrica, Bogdan Badea, emphasized the importance of this project both from a technological and strategic perspective, strengthening the company's role in the energy security of Romania. Hidroelectrica, the largest producer of energy from renewable sources in Romania, continues to invest in modernizing infrastructure and developing new renewable capacities.
