In the first five months of 2025, the Romanian industry recorded significant increases in several sectors, except for the energy industry, which declined.

Between January 1 and May 31, 2025, the durable goods industry grew by 14.4% and current goods by 4.1%. However, the energy industry fell 11.9%. In May, industrial turnover increased by 5% compared to the previous month, thanks to manufacturing (+5.2%). Compared to the same month of the previous year, turnover increased by 11.6%, with notable increases in mining (+15.4%) and manufacturing (+11.5%).
