Ford has announced a collaboration with Amazon to allow dealers to sell its certified used vehicles on the e-commerce platform Amazon Autos. This initiative offers consumers the opportunity to browse selections of used Ford vehicles from local dealers and complete most of the paperwork online. The program will debut in the cities of Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to expand to other locations. All vehicles come with a manufacturer-backed warranty and other benefits, similar to direct sales through dealers. Ford mentioned that approximately 180 dealers have shown interest in the program, and 20 have already signed on. Amazon Autos began offering used vehicles in August, and Hyundai has made a similar collaboration. This initiative comes against the backdrop of record increases in new car prices, which reached an average of $50,080 in September, according to Kelley Blue Book data.
