According to INS, in 2025, Romania's exports increased by 4.2%, reaching 96.607 billion euros, while imports rose by 2.6%. In the end, Romania has a deficit of 32.744 billion euros.

In 2025, Romania's FOB exports totaled 96.607 billion euros, registering a growth of 4.2% compared to the previous year, while CIF imports reached 129.351 billion euros, with a growth of 2.6%. In December 2025, exports were 7.196 billion euros, and imports were 9.883 billion euros, resulting in a deficit of 2.687 billion euros. Compared to December 2024, exports increased by 9.4%, while imports decreased by 0.4%. The most important categories of exported products were machinery and transport equipment, accounting for 46.6%, and other manufactured goods, with 26.6%. Intra-community exchanges were predominant, with 71.3% of total exports and 72.1% of total imports coming from the EU27.
