According to a study by Allianz Research, the insurance market in Romania recorded a significant growth of 10.6% in 2025, exceeding the global average of 7.1%. Although Romania remains behind developed countries, the growth trend suggests a recovery of the gaps. The global report shows that the global market reached premiums of 6.9 trillion euros, with an estimated annual growth of 5.3% over the next decade.

The life insurance segment dominates, followed by general and health insurance. Despite a slowdown in growth in North America, health insurance experienced the largest expansion, with a global growth of 12.3%. This trend is due to the aging population and rising medical costs, which generate an increasing demand for private insurance, especially in Asian markets with a low penetration rate.
