The IMF's unit of account has increased to 5.9597 lei. The exchange rate also includes other currencies, such as the euro at 5.0856 lei and the Australian dollar at 2.8759 lei. BNR emphasizes that these rates are calculated based on the quotations of authorized banks, without imposing their use in transactions.
