European stock markets had a positive day on Friday, with the UK's FTSE 100 recording a historic milestone, surpassing 10,000 points. The index closed the session up 0.2%, at 9,951 points, after temporarily reaching the symbolic threshold. Analysts emphasize the importance of sustaining this growth, which must be based on solid economic fundamentals. On a continental level, the STOXX 600 index rose by about 0.6%, with most sectors showing positive performance. Stocks in the energy sector, such as Orsted, and those in the semiconductor industry saw significant increases. Additionally, precious metals continued to rise, with gold and silver recording their best annual performances since 1979. In the Asia-Pacific region, the Kospi index reached a historic high, while markets in Japan and China were closed for holidays.
