The Austrian energy producer Enery Development has secured a syndicated green financing of 460 million euros, intended for the construction of the hybrid project Ogrezeni in Giurgiu County. This project combines photovoltaic energy with battery storage, having an installed capacity of 761 MWp and over 1 GWh of storage.
Once operational, the project will provide green energy for approximately 684,000 households and will reduce CO₂ emissions by about 303,000 tons annually. The financing comes from a consortium of seven banks, including UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo. Enery, founded in 2019, manages 66 plants in 6 countries, with a total capacity of 566 MW and 213 MW under construction, with the main shareholder being the Amber Infrastructure fund. The CEO and COO of Enery emphasize the importance of this financing for the development of renewable energy infrastructure in the CEE region.
