Electrica has announced the completion of the competitive procedure for selecting an EPC Contractor and signing a contract with Foton Power Energy S.R.L. for the photovoltaic project 'Bihor 1'. This project, located in the communes of Cefa and Mădăraș in Bihor County, will include the implementation of a photovoltaic park with an installed capacity of approximately 78.8 MWp, a 110 kV electrical transformation station, and an energy storage system with a capacity of 18 MWh. The total value of the contract amounts to approximately 36.6 million Euros (excluding VAT) and includes the operation and maintenance of the equipment for 3 years. The next step is to start construction, and Electrica estimates the completion of the project according to the established schedule. This objective is part of the Electrica Group's strategy to expand in the field of renewable energy production, and the funding will mainly come from the funds raised through the green bond issuance in 2025.
