The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) has published the results of the National Top of Companies 2025, a ranking based on the analysis of 917,881 financial-accounting statements. The 13,078 companies ranked in the top 10 positions across the seven monitored sectors (industry, services, commerce, tourism, research-development and high-tech, agriculture-forestry-fishing, and construction) employ 1,393,055 employees, marking a 3.77% increase compared to the previous year, reflecting the dynamism of the Romanian business environment. The cumulative turnover of these companies exceeded 287 billion euros, recording a 6.07% increase, while operating profit grew by 1.37%, reaching 25.9 billion euros. Sector analysis shows that industry and services dominate the ranking in terms of the number of companies, while commerce holds the largest share in turnover. Industry remains the most profitable sector, concentrating 38.68% of the total profit. CCIR has been conducting this ranking since 1994.
