The National Bank of Romania has decided to maintain the interest rates for the lending facility at 7.50% per year and for the deposit facility at 5.50% per year, in order to ensure the stability of medium-term prices. BNR emphasizes the importance of a balanced mix of macroeconomic policies and structural reforms for sustainable economic growth. The Council closely monitors economic developments and is prepared to use the available tools to maintain financial stability. The minutes of the deliberations will be published on October 20, 2025.
