The National Bank of Romania announced the reference exchange rate for September 26, 2025, highlighting an appreciation of the euro, which increased by 1.8 bani, reaching 5.0772 lei. The American dollar and the Swiss franc appreciated to 4.3460 lei and 5.4363 lei, respectively, while the British pound decreased to 5.8068 lei. Gold increased by almost 2 lei, being valued at 524.0023 lei per gram. The rates are calculated based on the quotations of authorized banks, without imposing their use in transactions.
