The BMW Group has officially announced the entry of the Alpina brand into its portfolio, announced in the spring of 2022. Pieter Nota, a member of the BMW Board of Management, emphasized the importance of transforming the automotive industry towards sustainable mobility and highlighted the attention to detail that characterizes Alpina. From January 1, 2026, Alpina will operate as an exclusive and independent brand, initially focusing on "brand activation." The new brand logo clearly reflects clarity and confidence, drawing inspiration from the asymmetric design of the 1970s. BMW Alpina vehicles will adhere to rigorous quality standards and will offer customized options for customers. The cooperation between BMW and Alpina has lasted for over 50 years, and the new structure will allow extensive modifications of the base BMW vehicles, made in the Alpina workshops in Buchloe. Founded in 1965, Alpina has been active in BMW tuning and began producing automobiles in 1978. The company will continue to provide services and parts for existing vehicles, maintaining its tradition and commitment to customers.
