Bergenbier S.A., part of the Molson Coors group, ended the year 2025 with a turnover of nearly 939 million lei, recording a decrease of 6% and a net profit of 82.9 million lei, which is 11.5% less than the previous year.
The company paid approximately 267 million lei to the state budget, highlighting the impact of economic and fiscal pressures on the beer industry in Romania, which reached its lowest level in the last two decades. The General Director, Mihai Voicu, emphasized that 2025 was a difficult year, but Bergenbier managed to remain relevant by launching new products and strengthening existing brands.
For 2026, the company will adopt a cautious approach due to fiscal instability and cost pressures, but will continue to invest in brand development and operational efficiency. According to the Romanian Brewers Association, the beer market decreased by 4% in 2025, and Bergenbier diversified its portfolio to meet consumer preferences. The company's tax contributions during the period 2023-2025 totaled nearly 797 million lei, underscoring its role in the local economy.
