The ArcelorMittal company has announced the permanent closure of the factory in Hunedoara, which produces profiles and angles, due to high energy prices and external competition. Although savings measures were implemented and employees were placed in technical unemployment, financial problems proved insurmountable. Vice President Sanjay Samaddar expressed gratitude to the employees for their efforts, and the company will seek solutions to support them in the transition. Production was halted on September 5, and 477 employees are affected.
