The National Authority for Regulation in the Energy Field (ANRE) imposed total fines of 54.5 million lei on three offshore gas companies: BLACK SEA OIL & GAS S.A., PETRO VENTURES RESOURCES S.R.L. and GAS PLUS DACIA S.R.L. They did not sell gas at the regulated prices of 150 lei/MWh and 120 lei/MWh, according to O.U.G. no. 27/2022, for the period 01.01.2024 - 31.12.2024. Each company received a fine of 3% of their turnover for 2024, with individual amounts of 37.16 million lei for BLACK SEA OIL & GAS, 11.57 million lei for PETRO VENTURES, and 5.84 million lei for GAS PLUS. The president of ANRE, George Niculescu, emphasized that these companies have been repeatedly sanctioned for the same offense and reaffirmed the importance of complying with the law in offshore gas exploitation. The amounts will be directed to the state budget.
