ANAF will cancel debts under 40 lei, but will increase taxes for those with unjustified income.

The debt relief measure will take effect from the beginning of 2024. But as of June 1, 2024, individuals who can't justify their income will be taxed at 70% instead of 16%. These changes target people who have unjustified income and will be scrutinized by tracking financial transactions.
