AHK Romania warns that failing to meet the obligations assumed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) could lead to the loss of 231 million euros, severely affecting the economy in the current context of economic slowdown and inflation. The funds from the PNRR are essential for modernizing Romania through investments in infrastructure, digitalization, and green transition. Sebastian Metz, General Director of AHK Romania, emphasizes that the risks are not limited to the mentioned amount but extend to over 2 billion euros that could become inaccessible without reforms.
The President of AHK, Volker Raffel, adds that the efficiency of public administration and the reduction of bureaucracy are crucial for managing these funds. AHK Romania offers to collaborate with the authorities to accelerate the implementation of necessary reforms and maintain investor confidence. Meeting the milestones in the PNRR is vital for attracting new investments and for sustainable economic growth.
