The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) confirmed on Monday that in the train accident in the Cordoba region of Spain, two Romanian citizens were slightly injured. Representatives of the Romanian General Consulate in Seville communicated with them, who confirmed that they are out of any danger. The MAE specified that no requests for consular assistance have been received regarding this incident.


Romanian citizens can request assistance at the phone numbers of the Consulate in Seville, and in case of emergency, they can call a special dedicated number. The accident involved an Iryo train that derailed, colliding with an Alvia train, affecting 484 passengers, with 39 dead and 73 hospitalized, of which 24 are in serious condition.
