A 16-year-old Romanian teenager drowned in the Erft River in Germany while filming a TikTok video.

Beatrice, a 16-year-old girl of Romanian origin, died in Germany after drowning in the Erft River while filming a TikTok video with five friends. The incident occurred near the former lignite power plant Frimmersdorf, where the young people chose a secluded spot for filming.

According to witnesses, Beatrice was on a friend's shoulders, who lost his balance, and both fell into the water. The girl, who did not know how to swim, sank before her friends' eyes, and they panicked and called emergency services. After two hours of intense searching, rescuers found her lifeless. Relatives came to the scene of the tragedy to lay flowers and light candles, and Beatrice's father, overwhelmed with grief, tried to throw himself into the river.

Shortly after the incident, another body was found in the same river, but unrelated to the teenager's accident.
