Three men were arrested by Civil Guard agents in the early hours of Friday in Cantabria, as suspects in the robbery committed on Thursday at a bank branch in Villanubla, Valladolid. The three, identified as two Spanish brothers and a Romanian man, were caught in the town of Suances, around 6:00 AM.
They will be transferred to Valladolid to make statements before the duty court. The robbery took place on Thursday when two armed men threatened a bank employee to obtain the sum of 32,000 euros.
After committing the crime, the thieves fled in a vehicle, and the Civil Guard immediately launched a pursuit. One of the brothers had previously been involved in a similar robbery in 2013, being tried and later acquitted for that incident. The investigation is coordinated by the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police in Valladolid.
