On Monday morning, November 24, a serious road accident occurred on Drautal Road, Austria, near Dölsach, when a 61-year-old Romanian man entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with a van driven by a 26-year-old Austrian man. In the Romanian car were two Romanian female passengers, a 58-year-old woman and another 69-year-old woman. The impact was violent, and the van overturned, ending up on its side.
The accident resulted in injuries to five people: the Austrian driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries, as did the Romanian driver and his 58-year-old passenger. The 69-year-old woman was seriously injured and was transferred to the Trauma Hospital in Klagenfurt for specialized treatment. All victims were transported to the District Hospital in Lienz.
