A Romanian dentist drove his recently purchased Porsche into the practice of his former employers in Bosdorp, Belgium, on Sunday, October 11. The incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. and caused significant damage after the vehicle smashed through the glass door, waiting room and several partitions inside the practice.
According to the Belgian press, the driver then returned to the parking area behind the building and struck the property again, this time near a treatment room. Firefighters worked for several hours to remove the debris and secure the damaged windows and doors.
The man, a former employee of the practice, was found by police behind the building. He suffered minor injuries and was taken in for questioning with the assistance of an interpreter. Tests for alcohol and drugs were negative.
Investigators are considering a workplace dispute and the possibility of revenge after the Romanian was reportedly fired recently. Belgian authorities are checking whether the act was intentional. Depending on the legal classification, he could face charges for property damage and endangering people inside the building.
