Two Romanians from Great Britain have been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder of two men "with the date-rape drug"

Adina Mihai, 31 years old, and Mădălin Dumitru, 30 years old, were sentenced to 17 years in prison each by Oxford Crown Court after they killed two men by administering GBL, known as the "date rape drug," in drinks. The two arranged meetings with the victims, with the woman presenting herself as a sex worker, and they worked together to steal their belongings.

Malcolm King, 80 years old, died in August 2024, and Gary Mouat, 37 years old, in July 2025, both deaths initially considered natural. The investigation established a link between the two cases, and authorities suspect that there may be other victims. The judge emphasized the immense risks associated with the uncontrolled administration of the substance.
