Local Police officers in Palma arrested a 30-year-old Romanian citizen, suspected of forgery in documents and committing traffic offenses, after a traffic check. The incident occurred on the Valldemossa road, where a patrol stopped the vehicle due to lack of insurance and a valid technical inspection. During the check, the man tried to identify himself with the details of a cousin, but the police later discovered a Romanian identity document that matched his appearance.
Additionally, an active arrest warrant was identified in his name for non-compliance with a court ruling. After questioning, the Romanian acknowledged his true identity and admitted that he did not possess a driving license. He was detained and handed over to the National Police, and the vehicle was confiscated for further investigation.
