A 47-year-old Romanian who had been working for only eight days at a warehouse in Germany was sentenced after he, together with an accomplice, allegedly stole Apple and Samsung electronic products worth approximately 160,000 euros.

According to investigators, he allegedly altered the labels on the packages and redirected them to false addresses, so the goods did not reach the customers but were diverted instead. In total, 39 packages containing iPhones, MacBooks, and other devices were reportedly stolen.

Some of the goods were recovered by the police, but the rest had already been sold. The man confessed to his actions in court and received a suspended sentence, as he had no prior criminal record.
