A 37-year-old Romanian man was arrested in Turin after breaking the window of a parked SUV and stealing a laptop, as well as several electronic devices. The incident took place in the area of Piazza Maria Ausiliatrice, where a passerby witnessed the theft and alerted the police.
The details provided by the witness, especially the prominent tattoos on the suspect's arms, were essential for his identification. The police quickly arrived at the scene and spotted the man fleeing in a hurry.
Although he tried to cover his tracks by changing clothes and hiding the shirt he was wearing at the time of the theft, his tattoos were recognized. Following a search, the police found the stolen goods on him, which were returned to the owner. It appears that the man already had a ban on staying in Turin and was taken into preventive custody, being charged with aggravated theft.
