Lucian Scărlătescu, a Romanian living in Italy, has been named world champion in the 'Spicy Pizza' category at the World Pizza Championship in Calabria. The competition brought together pizza makers from 18 countries, and Lucian impressed the jury of 50 international experts with the originality and balance of his dish. He managed to combine traditional Italian ingredients with personal touches, paying homage to Mediterranean flavors.


Originally from Romania, Lucian opened a pizzeria in a village near Naples, where he transformed his passion for pizza into a form of art. His success highlights the talent of Romanians in global gastronomy, bringing a piece of national pride by winning this prestigious title.
