Employees in Germany, including the 900,000 Romanians, benefit from significant salary increases, with an average advance of 4.1% in the period from April to June 2025. The largest increases were observed in financial and professional services, with 7.6%, but the energy sector recorded a decline. Although nominal wages are rising, purchasing power remains below the level of 2019, and retail is still not benefiting from this trend, with declining sales.
