Intentional fire set near the Romanian Embassy in Bern

A fire was intentionally set near the Romanian Embassy in Bern, according to information provided by the Italian press.

The cantonal police in Bern reported that the flames spread to the surrounding vegetation after an incendiary object was placed next to the embassy's fence. The staff of the diplomatic mission managed to extinguish the fire, and firefighters intervened to monitor the area and prevent any potential rekindling. Although material damage was recorded, there were no casualties.

During the intervention, firefighters temporarily diverted pedestrian traffic in front of the embassy. The police, in collaboration with the Prosecutor's Office, have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of this incident.
