A young woman from Gorj died after giving birth by caesarean section at Novaci Hospital. Her condition worsened during the operation, necessitating a transfer to the County Hospital in Targu Jiu, where she ended up in a coma. Doctors acted urgently, but due to bad weather, the transfer by SMURD helicopter to Craiova was impossible. She was taken by ambulance but later died in Craiova hospital, despite medical efforts.
