A young woman from Corabia has been investigated for misleading the judicial authorities after presenting false evidence of online harassment.

An 18-year-old girl from Corabia, Olt County, reported to the police in October 2025, accusing a teacher of online harassment. Following the complaint, a criminal case was opened, and investigations were conducted under the supervision of a prosecutor.

The young woman presented messages and screenshots as evidence; however, investigators discovered that she had sent these threatening messages to herself. After her phone was seized for technical checks, it was found that the evidence was false. During questioning, the young woman admitted that she misled the judicial authorities, and the police initiated a criminal investigation for misleading the judicial authorities. The police activities were carried out in compliance with legal norms, despite the public pressure generated by the case.
