A young woman from Bucharest was detained after she threw a police mobile printer, lost by a road crew, in the trash.

The young woman was detained for 24 hours on a charge of theft, but her lawyer says it was an abuse and not a criminal offense. The printer, worth 2,751 lei, was used by the traffic police to print out traffic reports. Also, the police officers who lost the printer are being internally audited.
