A 23-year-old young man from Motru, missing in the Netherlands for several months, is being sought by the police after his family could no longer get in touch with him.

George Alexandru Vieru, a 23-year-old young man from the municipality of Motru, is being sought by the police after his family has not had contact with him for several months. The young man left for the Netherlands for studies in 2022, and since March-April 2025, he has not communicated with family members. The spokesperson for the Gorj County Police Inspectorate, Miruna Prejbeanu, confirmed that the police were notified by his uncle.

The young man is between 1.80 - 1.85 meters tall, weighs approximately 90 kilograms, has a fair complexion, satin hair, medium-length haircut, brown eyes, and wears glasses. Authorities are requesting the public's help in identifying him, asking anyone with information to contact emergency number 112 or to present themselves at the nearest police unit.
